Delete your BetaVision account

You can delete your BetaVision account, and the data it holds on our server, at any time, with or without the app installed.

Two ways to ask

• In the app: open Settings, then Account > Delete account. The deletion happens at once.
• By email, without the app: write to privacy@betavision.app from the email address on the account, asking us to delete it. We delete it within 30 days and reply to confirm.

What is deleted

• Your account: the email address, name and sign-in details.
• Every encrypted backup.
• Every synced training record.
• Every uploaded clip, wall photo and 3D result.
• Links between your account and 3D climbs you lent your camera for.

What is kept, and for how long

• A deletion record: a one-way hash of the account identifier and the time of deletion, kept so that we can show the deletion happened. It does not identify you.
• Beta feedback (beta testers only): anonymised. The link to your account and any screenshots are removed; the text is kept until it is no longer needed to fix or improve the app. To have it deleted entirely, say so in your email.
• Server logs (IP address, time, request path; for security and rate limiting): 30 days.

Deleting the account does not delete what is on your phone: uninstall the app or clear its storage for that. Cancelling a subscription is done in Google Play and does not delete data by itself.
